This semester's objective is to develop our design concepts and express our creative ideas through individual and group projects that require drawing and model making. We will demonstrate design ideas through thought processes culminating in artistic and architectural forms where space, materials and general site conditions are considered.

Project 1: Analytique

“Analytique” is an elevation drawing of a building façade, incorporating details such as sections and plans that are creatively arranged and composed as an integral part of the drawing.

Project 2: Eco-Friendly Chair

Recycled materials are required to construct an eco‐friendly chair for indoor or outdoor environment. The eco‐friendly chair must be either collapsible or able to be uninstalled and reinstalled with ease.

Project 3: Nature Retreat

Design a nature retreat that is built primarily with recycled local materials. Through site analysis and precedent studies, you will develop a design proposal that embraces “low‐tech aesthetics,” embodying the idea of retreat space and relaxation in a natural environment.
